Construction Worker Found Permanently and Totally Disabled After Falling and Breaking Leg Which Led to Back Problems

After Defendants refused to make a reasonable settlement offer, a construction worker who fell off a wall sustaining a serious leg injury requiring multiple surgeries which led to an altered his gait and back problems the parties went to trial.  The judge found the worker to be permanently and totally disabled ordering the Defendants to pay $960 per week for the rest of his life.  Defendants appealed the case all the way to the Iowa Supreme Court who affirmed the judge’s decision of permanent disability.
